Civil Rights in Atlanta

I was riding MARTA (the subway) in Atlanta yesterday when a new-looking sign showing prohibited items and activities caught my eye

Take a closer look at the "No Weapons" sign - it shows a handgun and a knife with the red prohibited slash through it...

The message is that it is prohibited to Carry Weapons, but underneath in parentheses, in English and Spanish it says "(except firearms when carrying a valid permit)."

People with Georgia carry permits should know this, but it's nice to see it on the sign.

A small victory for civil rights in Georgia.

So I can't carry a knife, even with a permit? What if I'm carrying a carving set as a house-warming gift?

It's still good stuff, don't misunderstand me.

I noticed the "No Panhandle" symbol.

Way to go Atlanta!

Somebody tell Portland, Oregon; Loud and often!

Use naptha instead. It'll warm that house slap to the ground, quicker than a duck on a June bug.
